@brian: Still I have Black background for inserted .png files in Layout when printing. The .png was created using Rhino Cycles render and saved as png with alpha channel. Also I checked in the material properties and the alpha chennel it is checked.

Do you see the problem with any other PNG that has alpha channel, i.e. created with GIMP or Photoshop?
Unfortunatelly seems that yes.
Just made a quick picture in Gimp and saved as png with alpha channel.
OK, I just wanted to rule out any relationship with Raytraced.
