I’ve been using Rhino and Visualarq as a start to finish BIM software for nearly 10 years now. I’ve refined a pretty streamlined workflow that allows me to work on multiple projects at a time from design through construction. In that time, there have been lots of folks in the forum and irl asking what the process and method are like. I’ve answered questions here and there on the forum for years, but I think a deep dive would ultimately be more helpful for users.
I’m excited to announce bimpala, an on-demand course going step by step through my workflow to create a full set of construction documents and visualization. I am currently launching a limited release of the the Work-In-Progress version to help streamline it for the full release next year.
I am looking for a few people interested to help go through the course and provide feedback. At this moment, I am limiting it to 10 seats so that I am not overwhelmed by the feedback. Due to the limited capacity, I am specifically looking for people that are working at a professional level on small to mid size projects (residential or commercial) to go through the course, ask questions and make suggestions so I can refine the lessons to be as clear and useful as possible. It’s a paid course, but half price of the final version. Students in the WIP version will get access to the full version when it launches.
In true rhino / va fashion, it’s a perpetual seat that may include a discounted upgrade if we need to do a new version for rhino 9 / va 4 whenever those launch. The full price is roughly equivalent to 1 billable hour for a small firm architect or interior designer, and much less than a single $380 / month of Revit.
We go over how to create project templates, the modeling features of visualarq used in practice, documentation, inner office and consultant collaboration, detailing, and visualization. It includes loads of example files, scripts, and downloadable content. The WIP comes with a seat in the discord to provide feedback. The module on project templates has already launched and the rest will be dripping lessons at a time every week.
Check out the link, which has more details about the modules and lessons as well as some frequently asked questions.
thanks,
Thomas Hardy
