Beyond SelLast... selecting an object at the last point I used it?

Let’s say I have a triangle- I move the triangle from the top tip of it from point A to point B. At this point, the triangle is deselected and at point B. Is there any way I can go beyond SelLast and actually pick up the triangle at the point I last dropped it(the top tip at point B)?

The details of the transformation (like the point you described), do not persist past the operation except in the Undo stack.
