Best Way To Model Flysceen Mesh Fabric in Rhino for Mac

Hi, any tips for modelling fly screen fabric? I am doing some tent details and need to be able to see through it. Thanks in advance

Stu

Does it need to be modeled. Couldn’t you use a texture map?

I need to be able to see through it and the objects that are inside. I was thinking of using a clear surface like glass and adding a bump map or something, just to slightly obscure the view

Or just reduce the transparency of the glass material a little?

Hi, thanks for the reply, is there a way you can control transparency using a bump map? So give a surface a mesh looking bump map that you can see through? Cheers

Well the short answer is yes you can do this. You need a transparency map for the holes and a bump map for the mesh
