No, on cosmos nothing is encripted. However due to rhe proprietry interface and file format, they too canno be used outside V-Ray, Corona, Enscape and Cylindo
Sorry for the very late response here :-). I routinely use the THEA network rendering capability and honestly have never encountered any issues, it’s been entirely stable every time I’ve used it.
My point was that since now Enscape is part of the Chaos eventually they will be able to implement support, not that it is working today

Which of the above render engines will render Point Clouds from 3D scanners ?
The native Rhino 7 render engine does a pretty good job.

If you are using V-Ray 5 and above there is a Scatter tool built in. alternatively you can use a grasshopper plugin called “Scatter”

i did with a free plugin called Rhino Grow.
Actually it can be done also using Rhino Nature or as @tay.othman said using V-ray 5 scatter tool

Vray scatter has been a great improvement but I found that the distribution of the scattered objects was essentially uniform. But I have to admit that I still haven’t experimented with the new procedural “distance texture”.
actually i’m using more RhinoNature because i get more control and it’s not only focused on CGI (the image below was done a few years ago, hope Rhino Grow still works fine!)
By the way, in many exterior architectural images I find some close-ups where the tiles of the pavement become very prominent.
Could you give me some recommendations on how to get one large pavement surface like this in Rhino? One approach could be “BerconTiles” for 3DSmax, but I haven’t found anything similar for Rhino. In the end, I always find an annoying and repetitive texture tiling.
I guess that one option could be to model the pavement as in reality, with, let’s say, 1000 entities and then apply some randomization process to their texture (Vray MultiSub or UVWrandomization), but even using blocks or proxies it would be a bit annoying.
Anyone know any option to achieve this effect? *
