Same story! My 17"MBP crashed (planned obsolescence, I wonder).
Wasn’t impressed by the new touch bar which I think will be the first device to fail, so I rushed for a refurbished 15"MBP, which fortunately still has 1 USB port left.
Yes, just one USB port and a smaller screen since they don’t make 17"MBP now.
Rhino runs smoothly, I chose the model with the Radeon graphic card.

This is a 2015 highest spec BTO model and runs fantastic with Rhino.
I am surprised that the newest touchbar model even scores lower in the benchmark mentioned above (I dislike it as of it’s complete lack of what always made a Macbook Pro a Macbook Pro: lot’s of ports to attach all those external items directly without futzing about with adaptors, docks and dongles).
I am also not at all a fan of the new style keyboards, nor do I like the move to a touchbar (I like keys and dislike any sort of touchscreen/ touch button interface as it completely lacks tactility).
In the past I always ran dual large monitors but with this MBP I went towards a single 30" 4K monitor instead - works fantastic.
I am sure this model could as easily handle two HD monitors instead if dual monitors are a must have.
