Bending a line into one axis

I have a line that moves in the x y and z axis, and I want this line to be flattened onto x axis while preserving the z axis moment. That is to be said, this line also ought to maintain it’s original length, so that it’s more like it’s bent onto one axis as opposed to having the line be what you would see from an elevation, just bending a curved line into a straight one, while maintaining the z axis shape.

Hello - this is what comes to mind:
ProjectToCPlane the curve to the Top CPlane
Make a line in X .
Flow the curve from the projected curve to the line, with Stretch=No
