Please i am new to grasshopper and i would love to make this pattern on a product, but i have no idea where to start…could anyone point me towards a direction or recommend a tutorial for patterns like this.
- make a solid main body
- create a series of parallell lines (I think they are) with at least 6 control points with equidistance x
- pipe the curves with radius x/2, cap them
- start playing with curve geometry and subtract them from the main body or use more advanced curve tools to make sure their tangency and smooth transition at the ends
This is job for History enabled or Grasshopper (preferred).

I can see that depth of the pattern isn’t the half of the distance between the profiles so I recommend using elliptical extrusions.
