I want to put a custom background image on my file for (spin around) presentation purposes and have made a clean radial gradient in Photoshop which looks ok and bears no (not too noticeable) banding issues:
But when I load this as my background map in ‘Rendered Display’ I experience some quite bad banding:
First time was .jpg, so then tried in .png and .tiff to see if a better quality (lossless) filetype would make a difference, but sadly no dice.
Does Rhino automatically reduce the file quality for any background image selected for speed and file size purposes? This would explain the banding, and is there an option/setting for me to increase the quality of this file so I can get rid of the banding?
Thanks!
