Available physical memory note in the status bar

What does Rhino Beta means by Available physical memory…?
The number shown is similar to the memory used by rhino [An empty new file]
There is already a rotating display for the memory used… while this number has no relation to the actual free memory on the system.
What then, does this meant to inform us? [assuming it is not an error/bug]

How much free RAM is available on your machine at the current moment.

I have 64Gb total on this machine.

This corresponds more or less with what Task Manager says… although Rhino seems to think there is a bit more available - 49 vs 46 Gb.

Edit: did a computer restart just to double check, and it the same error.

I just noticed the Mac tag on your post - I’m on Windows. Perhaps there is a bug on the Mac side… @wim - can you test?

Nope.
The screen on my 2015 13-inch MacBook Air isn’t wide enough to check that…
