p.s. I’m new to Rhino, 30 years with other CAD packages, I have never used autosave.

… and by implication have never regretted it? You must have incredibly reliable computer hardware, software that never crashes and working methods that we would all like to discover.

Or else you have developed extremely good manual saving habits.

I’d recommend to implement Application Recovery and Restart API on Windows. Don’t know if it’s practical according to the memory structure of ON 3d model.

  4. Always have to re check the file path. In the end, I made a shortcut in windows.

  6. Other thought would be, make sure our Rhino WIP autosave is safe too. Plenty of times I have found it empty when I expected/hope my crash had been auto saved. The thing where when you reopen rhino to the autosaved thing is most helpful (this is your last chance to save it bla bla). Recycle bin behaviour IMO is odd, is it even documented?
