Automating the design process for Origami NASA Starshade in Grasshopper

For my University Project i am looking into how the Starshade design by NASA and others is used to maximise surface area basically.

I have followed the below tutorial which was extremely helpful and goes through the process of creating the initial geometry in Rhino and then setting up all the sections and components in grasshopper so that it can fold and unfold:

I’m specifically trying to do a parametric study of shorts to see how different parameters such as: inner/outer polygon side number, curvature, spacing etc… affects the increase in surface area from closed to open design so i am basically trying how to figure out how the initial geometry can also be done in grasshopper with different sliders to make it fully automated and I can study the different parameters. Furthermore from this tutorial the initial geometry is basically made “by tracing/by eye” and i am looking to implement the exact Fibonacci sequence for the rotating pattern but struggling on how to pull this all together. Just to further clarify everything in the YouTube tutorial makes sense its just focused on how the design can be automated.

Please let me know if you have any insights and anything that really aids in the process of this work I would be happy to credit you in my report/research.

P.s. let me know if any other information is needed

Thanks,
Ben
