Hello all, I noticed that the Revit viewport sometimes automatically launches, it prevents you to do a lot of things when you can’t reach it (CF attached photo)
Any possibility of preventing the creation of a dedicated viewport that you can’t easily move around if the borders are outside of the screen ?
If I am correct, as a temp solution… try to stretch it from the bottom side of the view port to the bottom of the screen and let it snap there… once you do that it should stretch to fit in the screen vertically and you will be able to see the top border again.
Hope I remember that correctly and that it works.
I see, it’s a work around, do you ever use that new viewport, seems unnecessary and dangerous.
Hi Thomas, I primary use that viewport unless necessary.
You can initiate Rhino commands by being in the viewport and typing… example type “Box” to enter box command without the full Rhino UI open.
When opening the viewport you can Cntl+ the button to open a viewport synchronized camera as well as the current workplane. (tooltip will appear with these instructions on the open viewport button)
Cntl+Shiftclick the button will synchronize the current Zoom.
Sure but in that instance (Ref photo), I was unable to move that screen around unless I used a trick as described by @M.Tarabishy
The opening of that Revit viewport is erratic and conflicts with Multi-monitor/Laptop setups.
If you don’t want to remove this opening behavior entirely could you at least make it so that it opens in the center of the screen and on top of everything else.
The current code tries to open the viewport centered under the mouse cursor at the time it opens the first time.
Since this is causing problems on multimonitor setups we changed this to open centered on top of Revit window. This is already fixed on the daily build to test and will be on the next release candidate once we release it.
Hey guys, thank you for updating so often, I’ll give it a try
