I think what Jon means is that there would be more Cad/Cam resellers selling Rhino if Mcneel had made the effort to go after that market. I think this is true. For example, the fact that Rhino’s Parasolid export (.X_T format) has been broken for more than 10 years is enough alone to scare off most CADCAM resellers from taking on Rhino.
I agree with Jon that Rhino could be an excellent fit for CAM programs like MasterCam that don’t have very robust geometry creation and editing capability on their own. Most CAM users also have a CAD program. That CAD program could be Rhino instead of Solidworks.
