AutoCPlane and Detail view

Hi.

Latest WIP.
AutoCPlane works in Model space but doesn’t work in active Detail window in Layout space.
Is this a known issue?

Works

In v7 I was able to set CPlane to ClippingPlane as an Object. Now I can’t. Was a reason for such shortage of functionality?

Also in v7 Clipping plane had a line normal to the plane showing the direction (as a part of Clipping plane object). And when you turn control points on it was easy to understand if Clipping Plane is parallel to view.
In v8 all control points are on one line. No such possibility.
I would live with this if Clipping plane was allowed to build Line Normal to it. But Clipping plane isn’t recognized as a regular plane.

I would suggest to add two more control points to those triangles to have possibility to manipulate the size of triangles. They also will work as I mentioned above.

You’re right. Sorry, It works in Detail. With second attempt.

Am I correct, you mean v7 and AutoCPlane? I have no AutoCPlane in v7. Did I missed something?

Hello - I only mean that CPlane > Object works in V8 with clipping planes and auto-aligning cplanes to clipping planes also works.

One more thing about Details in v7.

Zoom Extents disregards ClippingPlane while in Detail view. I believe this shouldn’t be so.

It works well in v8 though.
