Asset Library in Rhino like Blenderkit

Is there some type of “embedded” library of assets, like 3D models, textures, etc, like blenderkit for Blender, but, for Rhino? It would be very usefull!

Thank you in advance!

Hi Eduardo -

No.

Well, there is a simple material and environment library that comes with Rhino, but no 3d models or fancy materials like BlenderKit

This is a huge bottleneck for me as well. I’m slowly gathering together a model library.

What I’m doing in the meantime is that I just have a separate file for each type/group of model. I open a second Rhino session and just copy/paste. If I had all the models I needed this would only be slightly slower than Sketchfab or Blenderkit (I’m guessing with the later).

There are so many good Rhino models floating around but unfortunately there’s not an organized system to get much usage out of them.

Is that it?
Here is a script I built based on eto_gui that implements most of the functions of the blender library
It’s pretty rudimentary at the moment because I haven’t done much to optimize it yet, but if you want I can talk to you about how to make a simple asset library

If you want other high-quality kits you can always check something like kitbash3d.com , but those assets can be very heavy though.

This looks pretty awesome! If you can get that far on your own then imagine what a small group of people could do.
