Ascii .ply import no longer working in Rhino 6

I’m having trouble uploading an ascii .ply file to Rhino 6, it works fine in Rhino 5. In 6 it throws a “Failed to read the file header properly. Cannot continue.” error. A simple example file is available here.

What version of Rhino are you using? I need the whole number. There was a fix a while back (https://mcneel.myjetbrains.com/youtrack/issue/RH-46652) and your attached file reads OK for me in our current internal build, 6.12.18316.2251. Short of fixing a few uninitialized variable warnings the code has not changed since that fix.
