Artistic Display Mode. Can I make dimensions not to receive shadows?

Unchecking “Receives shadows” in their properties does nothing.

Dimensions in Shaded Mode do not receive shadows and are printed properly - with their Print Color. Not in Artistic Mode for some reason…

What’s interesting is that it appears to be the object behind the dim that shuts off shadows on the dim.

Here there is a plane behind the blue dim that can receive shadows:

Are dims even supposed to get shadow’ed in Artistic?
