Arrow keys don't work in 'Leader Text' Object Properties

For Leader Objects: Arrow keys do not work when editing the ‘Leader Text’ Object Properties box. Also, when creating a Leader, if you try to use the arrow keys to move the cursor back and edit the text, the Leader creation gets cancelled completely. I feel this is a bug.

thanks,

I’m having trouble repeating this bug. I tested by creating a new model and adding a single leader.

the arrow keys work properly for me too while typing leader text (i can use them to move back in the text or up/down to different lines etc.)

I’m having the same problem when I create a TextObject: I type some text, then use the back arrow to edit the text, and the dialogue box disappears. Also, I can’t use the Return key to place text onto different lines - the Return key acts as the OK confirm button for the process.

The TextObject seems to be a bit buggy: I can use the arrow keys and different lines are working with alt-return, but I’m getting some weird text sometimes (this was documented before afaik):

Thanks Toby - the Alt+Return works for me, as well as Alt+Arrow Keys. However, yes I do see the Alt+Return still places everything one 1 line in 3D space, even though the dialogue box shows it correctly.

cheers-

We are having trouble repeating this. Have you made any keyboard customizations?

@dwalden: leader text box works fine for me, arrow keys and line change (return) without alt-key (and without weird text).

Possibly. Let me check this.

Yes I mapped the Arrow Keys to PreviousU, NextU, etc. Strange though - I wouldn’t expect this mapping to change how the arrow keys behave inside a dialogue box, no?

I’ll change my mapped shortcuts to use Alt+Arrow Keys, hopefully that will return plain arrow keys to normal.

thanks!
