Arctic mode

I’m happy to test something less stable but it would be important to be able to still have a more stable version installed at the same time. Is that possible?

With regards to the rest of your post, I only ever use viewcapturetofile so I think the concern about clipboard size / available RAM shouldn’t be an issue?

I couldn’t find anything in that location (on the Mac) but I have got this using the systeminfo command:

Another quirk of Arctic mode is that the AO shading is modified by the edge of the viewport.

The shadow algorithm doesn’t know what’s outside the viewport, so it doesn’t know there’s supposed to be a shadow there. There are tricks we can implement to make this look better, but I can’t promise if or when it will get done.
