Arctic mode display mode copy doesn't apply surface edges adjustments

Hi, I am making a custom Artic mode display mode. I’m trying to set a 1px width for the edges, but when I close the display options window the edges dissapear. How can I fix this?

Is this box checked in the main page of the copied display mode?

Also, depending on what effects you need to achieve, you might want to consider starting with the Monochrome display mode instead of Arctic.

Modified Arctic doesn’t silhouette the sphere here:

But Monochrome, as it comes, does:
