Applying Earthquake Loads to Centroid Points Not on Structural Elements

Hello,
I’m trying to apply earthquake loads to the centroid points of each floor in an L-shaped building geometry in order to calculate displacements. However, I’m encountering the following error:

“1. Could not find node at (15.312499999999998/15.312500000000002/0) where point-load number 0 is attached.”

I believe this is because the centroid point where I’m trying to apply the load does not lie on any structural element (beam, column, etc.).

Is there a way to make such isolated points recognized in the “Assemble Model” so that I can apply point loads to them?

You will need to apply these points somewhere on your geometry - for example pulling them to an existing node, or splitting some of your beams where it is appropriate.
