Applying continuous texture to mesh surface

Hello Rhino Forum -

I am trying to apply a single JPG image to a mesh surface that I created via draping in blender. I have a fabric that wants to have a continuous single image overlaid on top of it.

However, when i apply a typical box mapping it breaks up the image based on horizontal vs vertical planes. Is there a different mapping type I should use? or what would be the best way to have a single image mapped onto the mesh?

Planar is almost getting there, but it stretches it on the vertical faces.

Any help would be appreciated!!! thank you.

If you draped this in Blender from a planar mesh then UV map your image to that plane before you do the draping. Then export the material with the mesh along with the UV coordinates. That probably should be the easiest I’d imagine.

I’d also just try the Unwrap command in Rhino on that open mesh.
