Placing a leader ,
the text comes in at unpredictable places .
I need the ability to move the text to exactly where I want it , but selecting the Text-Point and moving it only seems to move constrained to ortho directions from the auto-generated (incorrect) initial text location .
Is there ANY way to un-constrain the destination location from the artificial (incorrect) constraints of whatever “defaults” seem to be operating with Leaders ?
Thanks !
I use the control points already , with only limited success .
One challenge is that when moving small distances it seems to snap to nearby points even when OSNAP is turned off , and “int” seems to work on EVERY command , whether or NOT I have it enabled .
Then even when I hold the control key to disable osnaps (usually successful ) it seems to constrain to ortho movements even with ortho turned off , and “grid-snaps” even with those turned off as well ( F-9 ) . It acts like this is part of the implementation of leaders , as this doesn’t happen *except the “INT” - intersection - interference - that happens in ALL commands .
It acts like some control isn’t set correctly (on me ) but I’ll be DARNED if I can find one that makes a difference !
If any of this suggests anything , please write back ?
Thanks !
If not , no worries , and thanks for responding !
