Having now started using 4K screens and Chrome instead of Firefox, I end up with the page address overlapping the “new” and “unread” links at the bottom of a topic.
It seems this was not happening on my old HD screens.

I just noticed that behavior when I came to this thread … and that is shortly after installing a Windows update - but possibly unrelated to that. Running Chrome on a laptop screen that is 1920 x 1080…
The popup disappears when I mouse-over one of the icons on the task bar.

Yep, except when I go to click on the “New” link for example, if I miss slightly lower, it goes to overlapping page link instead (which basically does nothing because I’m already on that page). It’s just basically annoying.
