Sorry about the awful subject, but I couldn’t quite figure out the best way to put it given limitations.
I’ve noticed that when I’m intending to start a project as an artistic endeavor, my tendency is still to model it from an engineering perspective (unless the idea is something completely abstract).
To try and illustrate, here’s a one render of a scene of a number of catwalks in the middle of nowhere that I did.
When I first started working on this, one of the very first things I found myself doing was trying to design the stanchion bracket as if it was something that should be easy to manipulate to allow a change out, as well as offer lateral support on both sides.
Why? I have no clue. I’m not an engineer nor an architect, and fortunately I was able to kick the urge to actually complete this.
This came to mind, and I thought I’d post about it, now that I’ve been playing around with an AI image generation tool (Midjourney, more specifically), I’ve been thinking about trying to model some of the architectural stuff I’ve gotten - and given the above, my first thought is not just modeling the exterior of the building, but also trying to build an interior as well.
Anyway, I was curious if anyone else finds themselves a similar boat.
