Annotation dot to hide and redline to show...how?

Hi,
attached I need the annotation dot for Ph4 b to only show when I turn that face to the front, but the red line there hides and I need its external part to show when the faces that it traverses are visible.

BringFoward doesnt allow me to select the dot, I get the feeling though it would still show as it does now.

Stumped.

Hello- dots always draw in front of everything. You can use Text or Leaders though.

I wanted the label effect, might be something for V6 wishlist then.

how do I get the Ph 4b red line to show on faces when they are visible, such as the upper surface as one opens the file.
