Is there any chance we can add this feature to the animation output options? I know bongo can do it but bongo can do a lot of stuff and that is a whole new world to get into.
⦠to follow up: I donāt think I am really requesting a new feature here, just the ability to capture the animation that is already displayed with the animate between views box is checked in the saved views tab.
Could you screen capture the video?
yes you can, but the frame rate is not guaranteed, or controllable.
It might be a āwhole world to get intoā - but itās a nice world! Bongo 2 has a Named View animation wizard to make it easy.
Download the evaluation and give it a whirl!
I use Bongo, Iāve used this feature many times, best seen here: https://vimeo.com/1525201
Bongo is not the most user friendly thing to ever happen to Rhino, neither is āpath animationā. For basic video presentations and quick communications being able to simply save the animation that is already apparent when switching saved views makes a lot of sense.
In academic setting it is particularly useful as the machines at school arenāt set up with bongo and the students canāt install additional plugins.
I donāt miss much about sketchup but I do miss this feature.
Maybe the tool you are looking for exist here:

It seemed to me that I had already seen this somewhere :-), thanks Micha.
JAREK YOU CRAFTY MAN!
once again I am amazed at the scripts. Exactly what I had in mind.
Just a little warning - I didnāt get a chance to test it well under Rhino 5 to take advantage of new things in there or make sure it is fully compatible. Use at your own risk
(Update for V5 is on my list, including some sort of Neon support - @andy - if RS could detect the # of Neon iterations it would enable a lot of new possibilities)

It really would, it would be great to have a low-pass neon render as output, 20 passes per frame or something.
Rhino 5ās NamedView command has an animation featureā¦

I see. I think you best bet is a modified version of Jarekās script that allows you to run the Render command in between frames.
I think this should be an option already (not tested in V5). Did you try to make it work for you?
Works great Jarek. I think maybe Dale hadnāt fully engaged with the plugin yet.
Still really looking forward to you integrating limited pass Neon.
