Some time ago I proposed implementing of expandable sub-menus that will allow the users shrink the size of some very tall pop-up panels or docked panels to the settings they desire, while hiding all the unnecessary settings. Here is an example of such an expandable panel which I drew for the “Blend surface” tool.

3DS Max uses a similar approach since 3 decades and it’s super user-friendly. The Rhino Options also have expandable sub-menus.
