Alternative to FlowAlongSrf?

Hi
I would like to flow a random pattern along a tube - but the tube I would like to end up with should be spiraled.

When I try to FlowAlong Srf on the Spiraled tube, nothing happens ?

any suggestions how to do this?

Are you using _Pipe to create the spiraled tube? It could be that you have ‘capped’ the pipe, and the tube is not a surface, but a polysurface. Ensure that your tube is a single surface and try again.

I did use pipe command, exploded it and deleted the caps.
How did you make your spiraled tube?

I made a curve (not technically a spiral) and used _Pipe, but I did not cap the object:
