Altering Variable Names While the New Script Editor is Open

I know on some level this is my own fault because of course you shouldn’t edit the variable names in grasshopper while the script editor is open. But you can do it with the new C# editor. I still do it without thinking. And every time Rhino crashes. It would be great to be saved from my own stupidity and have that field locked out or something.
