I see how I can invoke the SetDisplayMode with an alias, so that I can then choose the mode from a list. That helps, thanks.
I don’t see how to create a command which sets the display to a particular view mode?
(as ctrl-alt-w changes to Wireframe.)

macro to an alias or keyboard shortcut.
