I was wondering if it would be beneficial in any way to quad remesh a topographic mesh.
Is there any advantage to working with quad meshes? Easier to edit I suppose, but for a topographic model there is not much sculpting, maybe some booleans…

Hello- I guess it depends on the input and the desried result - you are likely to get a cleaner mesh, if all goes well, if the input is messy, be but on the other hand you may lose detail and articulation…

Right. I created a Delaunay mesh from contours. And the quad remesh seems to be a little more smooth but with less precision. I think I will stick with the first one.
