Adding surface edges

I would like to create a rendered surface that will resemble a tile arrangement visible on the right side. Now it’s just a uniform surface, how can I change that?


Use edge bump. See

Or use the Rhino function softedgening or V-Ray toon materials.

So when I go into my vrmat materials, I don’t see Edge parameters, that are shown in the link, why is that?


Just to be sure the edge bump map as shown in @Mahdiyar video only works if you set Bumpmap mode to Bump Texture Channel.

Is there a way to make those edges darker?

Now they are bearly visible

And one more thing, some of my vrmat materials don’t have a bump option, is there a way around this issue?
