Add "Show only materials used by visible objects" to menu

Hi McNeel
Can you add a “Show only materials used by visible objects” to the Material menu? Having to select the visible objects to get an overview of the materials is a paper cut (but a cut, nonetheless).

And again: Can we please, please, please have the ability to automatically sort the materials alphabetically?
