Add Grid error

Hi @Japhy,

Cannot create grid when decimal number is odd number…
For example, it gives error to add grids when the value of number slider is 6.3 or 6.5 or 6.7 …

I am using Revit 2022 and RIR version 1.7.8 above.

Thanks in advance!

I believe you are getting a ‘Name must be unique’ error

You can modify how it’s handling the error here…

Hi @Japhy ,

I have tried to use Continue option for the Error mode.
I still have the same issue…

Try enabling Replace object tracking in this case, while moving your slider around. The error you are getting is in a duplicate name, correct?

Yep… It is because of the duplicated name…
however, I would like to keep the same Revit ID by updating it because some of the dimensions or annotations are missing if I use “REPLACE” option.

Hi @park,

The component turns orange to warn you about you are reusing an existing Grid but not a new one. Is this the message you get?

Hi again @park,

After testing with your definition I see there is a problem with this component. It only works correctly on Replace tracking mode.

Keep looking to it.

Hi @Japhy @kike ,

I get the same error “Name must be unique”.

I would like to use “Update” tracking method to keep the dimensions…

when I use “REPLACE” option… I get new grid with new Revit ID…
In this case, I lose my annotation…

Hi @park,

We have fixed that problem and will be released on v1.6 next Tuesday or you can obtain it now on v1.7 from the Daily update channel.

Hi @kike,

That is great! Thanks very much for your help.
