Add edges to surface and polysurface

Hi

Is there any way to add edges to nurbs surfaces and polysurfaces? Like the inset command but with other alignment types?

For single surfaces, there is the InsertKnot command.

In the inset command I can select and edit the created faces using : selection filter.
In the InsertKnot command I can’t.

Is there another tool that can do this?
