Add a linked block

Hello,

I can’t understand how to add a linked block to the RhinoDoc.InstanceDefinitions table.

I found on this forum “Modified”, “Deleted”, “Access” but not “Add” (apart olds 404 links for Rhino 5).
With File3dmInstanceDefinitionTable it’s clear, there is an AddLinked function but not with InstanceDefinitionTable

Insert file as block in RhinoCommon (not via CommandLine)

Hello there, right now I am using the command line to insert external files as a block and I have to admit it is a bit bulky. Is there any way of doing that in RhinoCommon? I found some documentation on FileIO, but I have to admit that I can’t see how to possibly achieve that. Thanks in adavance, T.

An AddLinked function is missing in InstanceDefinitionTable

Hi @kitjmv,

There only way you can add a a linked instance definition via RhinoCommon is to script the '_-Insert` command.
