The active level doesn’t always have a checkmark beside it in the level panel. Is this intended?

There is no “active” level on a viewport. The check mark in the levels panels just indicates where the CPlane is set (if it is coincident with a level base plane). If you look closely at the check icon, you’ll see there is a CPlane at the back.

Thanks, I think I understand, but shouldn’t a checkmark always show up somewhere?
If the CPlane is in arbitrary elevation, different from any level base elevation, or the CPlane is not horizontal, no check mark will be shown on the Levels panel.
