Active bending beam-shell element

Hi Karamba3D community,

I’ve been working in a transformable bending active module made of CFRP. I’ve had some trouble with the simulation stage because when I increase a point force at the end of element from -1.4 to -11 kN and it deforms, it tends to stretch and at the end this element is longer than the begining module.

Hi @Lmuribet,
this effect is due to the assumption of small displacements. Try to use the ‘Analyze Nonlinear WIP’- or ‘large Deformation analysis’-component instead.
