Hello, I am new to Rhino Lands and I have some experience using Land FX. Within Land FX, you are able to have the plant name, or abbreviation placed within the plant symbol (simple 2D circle). I would love to be able to do that in RhinoLands. Does anyone have any experience with this? Would be great to know if RhinoLands is capable of doing this before I purchase the product. Thanks
Hi Evan,
I think you are looking for the Plant Label feature. You’ll find it under the Documentation tab in RhinoLands ribbon, or by running the _laPlantLabel
and _laPlantLabelLinking
.
Here is a video demonstrating this feature in RhinoLands (the UI is a bit out-dated):

Hi Albert, thanks for your response.
I am looking to have the plant label be placed within or inside the plant symbol. Just the abbreviated name and without the plant count.
So for instance, if the plant was a Acer rubrum, just having “AR” displayed within the tree symbol (preferably a simple 2D circle). I do not want the count number associated with the plant.
Is this possible within Lands Design?

Hi @Evan_Wrigley, You can disable the hatch pattern from the Edit panel, insert the plant label, and reverse the order so that the name appears first, followed by the quantity.
Unfortunately, there’s no way to display only the name without showing the quantity.
