A Request on UntrimHoles improvement

Hi All,

I use Untrim mostly to delete holes, it is very fast. However after I see WIP improvement on UntrimHoles and gave it a chance.

I use windows selection to select whole object and untrim all, but it won’t work. It untrims only one face as you see the below.

Steps

  1. Run the command.Or, preselect hole edges with Shift+Ctrl (CMD) before the command runs.
  2. Select hole edges individually.Or use window selection.

Could it be possible to untrim all holes on an object at one go
cant untrim all at one.3dm (254.0 KB)
?
I have attached the file to let you try it.

Use UntrimHoles and window select the entire object… Works here - leaves just the long groove in the panel.

Did you untrim all at one go? I couldn’t. Tried many times.
The groove is totally fine, I can use _PushPull that allows multiselection to fill the gap (thank you a lot Mcneel team for multiselect faces)

Yep…

Thank you a lot for the video.

a very strange thing is happened here:
if I write down the command as you did, it works and there is a screentshot of options it gives.
“select a hole edge to delete”

if I use icon, it says select faces and I select all faces, it won’t untrim all.
“select faces to untrim”

Looks like that’s because the LMB and RMB have the _All option preset (Yes/No):

Seems like setting that option either way in a macro prevents the window selection from working on everything… Not sure why, on first glance I would have thought setting it to _No should still have worked.

@rajaa ?

This is a bug. Filed here…
