Is there a possibility to review the geometries based on the layer in which they were created ,not by their materials? When we use the preview component? Is there a possibility to preview depending on the layers in another way
Not in vanilla Grasshopper. Geometry in Grasshopper is just a shape, it doesn’t carry the additional attributes like name, color, grouping, line-style, layer, …
It is however possible for geometry in Grasshopper to know what Rhino object they came from. So called ‘referenced’ geometry stores both the shape and the Rhino object ID. This ID can be used to retrieve the layer of the original object, but that retrieval requires either scripting or a plug-in.
