I entered the digital world through the Macintosh, but it was too expensive for an individual to own. I have become accustomed to the Windows world that I entered into unintentionally, and now it is difficult to escape. Sometimes I just fiddle with my iPhone and snoop around that world. It’s the past, but Rhino 3D has once again made a dream come true.
Your attention to detail is world class! Thank you for sharing your always wonderful work!
I’m curious , do you adjust the lense length in rhino when you render? The default is 50 mm and it tends to look a bit sterile to my eye- I frequently change it to 35 mm for a bit of perspective convergence in my images.
I’m wondering if the mac image could gain a bit of drama from a smaller lense length-
Personally, I like the images produced by telephoto lenses. Although the dramatic and overwhelming feeling that wide angles give is disappointing, I can get a comfortable and focused feeling on the subject instead. Above all, it is easy to create images with a shallow depth of field.
Of course, this is limited to rendering, and when modeling, Rhino3D’s standard lens of 50mm is used.
Thank you so much for always saying such kind words about something so insignificant. Seeing you say such kind words to everyone, I think you must be a very very nice person. I hope only great things happen in 2024.
RIP, I had one of these until 2010 when it got nixed in a flood. It had a Mario spelling game on it that I was terrible at.
Had one of these in the 90s. Back then windows was too primitive and this was so luxurious.
We used to play the “Dark castle” game and I remember the sound effects to this day: “nia nia nia nia nia”, “whip oooh, whip oooh”
You seem to have great memories. It’s such a shame that You lost such a wonderful memory due to the flood. Still, it will remain in your memories forever. Thank you for sharing good memories.
Although it is not the same, I have similar childhood experiences. Of course, the memories of that time still remain. I used to play games without thinking, but now that I look at them, they are really cool games that show off the craftsmanship. I can’t help but wonder how this result was achieved in a time when there were no personal computers. When I think that I am working very comfortably now, I reflect a little.
As a 1983 Mac 128K owner, long time champion level MAC system genius I can only comment on your design! Frog Designs would be proud! Long gone is that Mac3D machine. I learned to code to draw in 3D with an Apple ][ so that kind of tells you long I’ve been waiting for Rhino3D to come into my life. Best UI and awesome responsive almost limitless design!
Now that you mention it, my first ever introduction to 3D modeling was on a community college computer lab full of Macs in 1993 using Strata Studio Pro.
https://www.strata.com is still around!
how old are you?
Hey, can you tell me from where you learnt rhino?
