Would you mind if I asked what methods you use to generate the surfaces?
I just used two simple curves as the rails and then used two other simple curves for sweeping. I finally used sweep2. At the end I used mirror, boolean and wood material.
The important issue is that the rails have the shape of a bird.

So the sweep shapes is in the middle of the rails, and two end points of the rails are choosed as the beginning and finishing of sweep2. Is my guess correct?
