A couple more Rhino 8 bugs

Here are a couple more bugs I’ve noticed in Rhino 8:

  1. The gumball does not align with the center of the text object

  2. PushPull with mode=Extend on this object does not produce what I would think is the expected result.

  1. do you have auto cplane on? I’m not able to reproduce this here. Gumball centers as expected.

also do you have any additional spaces around your text, or an extra line above or below?

  1. I’m seeing extend work here as long as you don’t drag it past the edge. I agree that this could be better-

It’s possible this behaviour could be tuned up @Joshua_Kennedy would need to chime in about that.

Hi Kyle,

  1. I don’t recall but the .3dm I provided is exactly how I saved it. No other lines of text, just those two. I think Auto CPlane was off, at least, from the video I posted. That said, this seems to have been fixed in my current release (8.5.24047.13001)

  2. Yep, extend works basically just fine; I just thought that behaviour was odd.

I mentioned this to @Joshua_Kennedy and will wait on him to chime in…there may be a reason for this behaviour, or there may be a possibility for a tune up. He’s rad, and is always looking to make things better… thanks for the example- we will investigate and update as this develops.
