Not sure why it’s not more popular to see grasshopper stuff being used for 3D printing in a more obvious manner on this forum.

I Bypassed the Slicer to Print mid Air

Non-Planar Mesh

Hello here is a way. Each layer is set to a branch of a DataTree, every 2 layers, list of curves is flipped. I did that with a C# as it is more easy for me than components. [image] With components [image] Mesh Non planar v2.gh (616.4 KB) Your approach is good but for a more general use it could be good to use closed curves for each layer. It is more easy to join them at the end. As I didn’t yet publish my plugin this will not work [image] [image]

Open5x Grasshopper

I’ve been trying to figure out how to operate this guy’s open5x: The grasshopper file that I am working with is called open5x_supportless_slicing_ver2.gh The rhino file that I am working with is called Supportless_sample_2.3dm I got the 5-axis printer all set up. Problem is this guy’s grasshopper is confusing. I’m a beginner in Rhino and Grasshopper. Have no experience in CAD or coding. In the author’s grasshopper file there are a bunch of orange boxes and wires as well as one red box. I…
