5.039 line starts centre circle meets circle dia 10

Hi,
decide to launch Rhino V8
import a mesh with ruler on floor.
draw a line across ruler between 2 and 7, so 5 inch long, so as to scale the mesh to 1:1.
create circle centre at start of line. rad 5.
extend line (ctlr alt end) and pick circle for limiter then pick line, it doesnt do as expected.
so drag it as is possible with this command. snap to circle, not a great snap.
Analyze> length line says 5.039 so much for that command !
zoom to end of line expecting it beyond the 10dia circle, yet it meets circle

how can a 5.039 line meet with a 5 rad circle, drawn from line start.
redo circle, still it meets with line at tip.

Rhino V8 its unsettling.

also lines are bitty, line project to mesh is ants on fishing line.
Will update perhaps this issues of line qlty is now solved. hope so.
else back to 5 again.

How are you snapping to the circle? Try Center then Perp

Hi, I have sussed it, the line had become sloping downwards, rotate line hrz and its beyond the circle !
Have also updated to latest V8,
Hope lines are better.
