3DS export and gouraud/phong shading?

Hi…,

one customer noted that exporting meshes from Rhino in 3DS shows flat shaded meshes. Exporting from Sketchup in 3DS seams to make gouraud/phong shaded smooth optical meshes.

Any ideas about gouraud shading export in 3DS with Rhino?

Hi Michael - is the same true when round-tripping the mesh back to Rhino? There is an Unweld setting in the import options that will affect this.
