Looks like the 3dconnexion settings have moved to a plugin in RhinoWIP. I have not opened it for a few months but wanted to test something out. Previously the axes setup was identical to Rhino 8 but it seems to now have changed - default mouse in/out used to zoom in/out but now changes the camera Z position. I tried customizing in 3dconnexion in the macOS preference panel after adding RhinoWIP as an application, to no avail. Tried disabling/enabling the plugin and a few other basics.

Sorry if this is already a know issue; figured I’d chime in just in case!

Are you aware of the \_SpaceMouse command?

I saw it in other forum posts, but I don’t see it locally, alas:

Hmmmm that might be due to your operating system. Sorry no idea why the command is not available there…

There’s a bit more information in this post:

> We are currently working on the 3DConnexion support in the Rhino 9 WIP (on both Windows and Mac). Yes, things are quite broken on the Mac at the moment (this is temporary). Our thinking on this is evolving as we get feedback from users and we’re currently exploring ways to support both the “old way” (which was quite poor on Mac, but some users still liked it) and the new (where everything is controlled from the 3DConnexion driver). We’re not settled on anything yet, but this feedback helps. W…

Thank you @wim , I did search around the forum but somehow didn’t find that post. I’ll keep an eye out for fixes.

> Hi All- In this week’s RhinoWIP (9.0.25280.12306), we’ve backed out some of the 3DConnexion changes we introduced back in August, bringing back the legacy behavior in Rhino for Mac. This means that the older - pre-August 6th 2025 - behavior should be back by default. (We broke it, now it should be “fixed”). This does not mean we are abandoning the modern integration. We want to allow for both. Hopefully, in the coming months, we’ll be able to share updates on the newer plugin. -Dan PS: A…
